Article Processing Charges

REGIONAL LENS is committed to maintaining high standards of open-access publishing and ensuring the global visibility, accessibility, and dissemination of scholarly research. To support the editorial, peer-review, production, and publication processes, the journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of PKR 15,000 for each manuscript accepted for publication.

The APC contributes to the following services:

Formatting Fee:
This covers the professional formatting of the manuscript in accordance with the journal’s publication standards, including layout design, citation styling, and compliance with submission guidelines.

Proofreading Fee:
This includes language editing, grammar correction, and quality checks to improve readability, clarity, and overall presentation of the manuscript.

Reviewing Fee:
This supports the management of the peer-review process and compensates for the time and expertise of qualified reviewers who evaluate manuscripts for originality, quality, methodological rigor, and scholarly contribution.

Production Fee:
This encompasses typesetting, graphics enhancement, metadata preparation, final quality assurance, and preparation of the article for online publication.

DOI Registration Fee:
This covers the registration and maintenance of a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring permanent identification, discoverability, and reliable access to the published article.

Sources of Funding

REGIONAL LENS operates primarily through Article Processing Charges (APCs). The journal does not receive funding from commercial organizations that could influence editorial decisions. All editorial and publication decisions are made independently and are based solely on the scholarly merit, quality, and integrity of submitted manuscripts. Any additional financial support received by the journal is utilized exclusively for maintaining publication infrastructure, editorial management, digital preservation, and enhancing the quality of publishing services.

Submission Process

Authors are required to submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Upon submission, manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their suitability, scope, originality, and compliance with the journal’s guidelines. Manuscripts that successfully pass the preliminary evaluation are sent for peer review.

The APC is charged only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication following the completion of the peer-review process. Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance, and no fee is required at the time of submission. Once the manuscript is accepted, authors will receive payment instructions and publication will proceed after confirmation of APC payment.
