Repository Policy
Regional Lens is dedicated to advancing open scholarship and facilitating the broad dissemination of social sciences research. The journal recognizes the importance of repositories in increasing the visibility, accessibility, and long-term preservation of scholarly work. Therefore, Regional Lens permits authors to archive and share their research through a variety of platforms and repositories.
Authors retain copyright of their published work and are encouraged to make their research widely available to the academic community. Regional Lens allows the self-archiving of all manuscript versions, including the original submitted manuscript (preprint), the accepted manuscript following peer review (Author Accepted Manuscript/Postprint), and the final published article (Version of Record).
Authors may deposit these versions on personal websites, institutional repositories, subject-specific repositories, departmental webpages, and academic networking platforms immediately upon submission, acceptance, or publication. No embargo period is imposed on any version of the manuscript, and authors are free to make their work publicly accessible at any time.
When depositing the accepted manuscript or the final published version, authors are encouraged to provide complete bibliographic information, include the article's DOI where available, and provide a link to the official published version hosted by Regional Lens. Authors should also acknowledge Regional Lens as the original source of publication.
Regional Lens supports archiving in university repositories, social sciences and disciplinary repositories, national and international open-access repositories, personal academic websites, and recognized scholarly sharing platforms. The journal views repository archiving as an essential component of open-access publishing and encourages authors to maximize the reach and impact of their research through responsible sharing practices.
By allowing unrestricted repository deposit, Regional Lens seeks to promote knowledge dissemination, foster academic collaboration, and ensure the long-term preservation and accessibility of social sciences research for scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and the wider public.
